Do you want a fixed point to come back to in the evening after the trip of the day, so is Tolfta Gård close to various destinations. A few km away is the 6000 years old rebuilt stone age village, Vrå, where you can book a guided tour.Parken ZOO and Kolmården(a big animal park) only an hour away by car.If you want to the coast then you have Stendörren and Nynäs nature reserves around 1-1.5, hours away.
If you want to make a day trip to Stockholm, then take the train you be there in 60 minutes.
The most easiest way to reach Tolfta Gård is to go by car.Skavsta Airport is only 45 minutes driving from here and trains are to Katrineholm which is our nearest town, for about 2 mil away .It´s possible for transport to / from Tolfta Gård.It can be arranged by appointment.
