Charming converted old schoolhouse/chapel, built in 1893! Situated in the countryside right outside Hova, a small town right in between Sweden's two largest lakes, Vänern and Vättern. Downstairs consists of one large room with a seating-area as well as a dining-table, and a small wood-burning stove. TV and dvd-player (some dvd's), and lots of books. The kitchen is recently renovated and has both a woodburning and an electric stove. There is also a very comfortable pull-out double day-bed. The bathroom has under-floor heating, toilet, shower, sink and washing-machine/dryer.
Upstairs there's a large bedroom with 3 beds, and a nook with one bed. There is also a large bed downstairs in the old altar! There is also a small house in the yard with an additional 3 beds. This is brand new, pictures to come!
The house is surrounded by mature maple-trees, under which are garden-furniture seating 8-10. Two bbq's, and a wooden sofa-swing on which to nap or have coffee in the morning sun!
3-4 bikes are available, and there are a couple of beaches within bikingdistance (30 min), and plenty of others if you drive. Close to the nature reserve Tiveden, Göta Kanal (you can take a daytrip on the canal, or why not bike along it!), flea-markets and Mariestad.
Sea-eagles are frequently spotted by the nearby lake Skagern, also marsh and hen-harriers, buzzards, cranes etc.
