The house itself is from the turn of the century and was originally a village school. It has been renovated to high standard with preserved original features. All the bedrooms have something special and no two are the same. There are three large common rooms, two kitchens and a large glazed summer room- ideal for summer dinners with views over the green landscape and the pool. Dinners can also be eaten in the large common room upstairs that has a dining area for 20 people as well as sofas in front of a large fire place to enjoy the deserts and coffee. Altogether the house has 8 working fireplaces and provides the ideal vacation all year around.
This property also provides many outdoor facilities. There is a tennis Court (not full size), basketball, bicycles of various sizes and a trampoline. There is also a swimming pool with pool deck and terrace with outdoor furniture. In you vicinity you have forest, fields and lakes. The closest lake is 700m away where a boat belonging to the house is moored and there is canoes can be rented two miles away. There is also a disused railway line about 1 km from the house and offers a great biking and walking trail along the old railway line.
The area has many tourist attractions and provides many daytrip opportunities. For example Mörrumsån, known for its fishing, Lake Mien, a meteor lake with a lovely sand beach (about 20 miles). There is also the famous handcrafted glassware area “Glasriket” with many world famous names such as Orrefors and Kosta-Boda (Kosta approximately 55 km). The charming marine town of Karlshamn (45 km) and Karlskrona are well worth seeing.
