For those seeking a peaceful, rural, and nature-close holiday in a Värmland countryside idyll overlooking a wildlife-rich lake.
A short walk to a wonderful shallow sandy beach at Lake Lelång, part of the Dalsland Canal.
Here you stay completely undisturbed, with no close neighbors – just the forest, birdsong, and perhaps a curious moose strolling by.

The cottage offers:
Two floors (approx. 80 m²) with electricity & running water
Charming self-catering kitchen (electric stove + wood-burning stove – fully equipped with kitchenware!)
Living room with open fireplace for cozy evenings
5 beds (double bed + single bed upstairs, 2 single beds in the small downstairs bedroom)
Bathroom with shower + separating compost toilet

Close to the best of summer:
Boat rental available at the village campsite
Forest just outside the door with mushrooms & berries in season
Rich wildlife right in the heart of nature

Covered wooden deck with lounge furniture in a wonderful west-facing position.
Chives, lettuce, currants, etc. grow on the property and may be picked “while supplies last.”

Practical information:
Cleaning is done by the guest according to the cleaning checklist in the cottage, or can be booked for an additional fee.
Bed linen and bath towels are brought by the guest or can be rented.
Pet-free & non-smoking indoors.
All electricity, water, and firewood consumption are included in the rent.
The wood-fired hot tub takes several hours to fill and must be ordered when booking.

Weekly rate:
Monday–Sunday: 5,900 SEK
Rent 2 weeks – get 1 night free
(The night between Sunday week 1 and Monday week 2 is free.)

Optional extras:
Wood-fired hot tub: 1,100 SEK
Final cleaning: 1,200 SEK
Bed linen/towel/bath sheet: 150 SEK per person

A booking fee/deposit of 20% of the rental cost is paid at booking and refunded when the cottage is left undamaged and properly cleaned.
Not refunded in case of cancellation.

The town of Lennartsfors is a former mill town that comes alive many times in the summer. The town is located by the lakes Stora Le/Foxen and Lelång, with a beautiful lock (built in 1865) that is the most impressive in the Dalsland Canal after the aqueduct in Håverud and makes boating and tourism flourish in the summer.
Here, a lock café, Strömsborg restaurant and unique small garden cafés with homemade coffee are open.
At Bergstugan there is a small grocery store with a café/restaurant and a pub.
There are craftsmen of various products of both old and new that are open during the summer.
Big midsummer celebration at the local history museum. Dance floor with summer events. Tennis court and football field in the village.
