This is part of its history; the house was previously owned by a childless couple with a fondness for social gatherings and festivities. The wife was very creative, and her flair for interior design lives on in the many imaginative decorative details.

It is also worth mentioning that the Swedish author Vilhelm Moberg rented a room here in 1927 to write his debut novel, "Raskens."
